Get Your Business Online with SSBT – Online Store

Your Store on Your Own Website

Starting a business is exciting, but the tech can feel like the hardest part. Where do you get a website? How do you sell online? SSBT puts the whole journey in one place. Here’s the simple order of operations to go from “I have an idea” to “my online store is live on my own website.”

Step 1: Create your website (get your web address)

Every online business starts with an address. In SSBT this is your website.

  1. Go to Dashboard > Websites and click Add.
  2. Enter your business name and, if you have one, your domain name.
  3. SSBT analyses the domain for you:
    • No domain yet? SSBT suggests a free subdomain based on your business name, something like yourbusiness.affordableapps.net. No setup, no extra cost.
    • Already own a domain? Point its nameservers at our hosting and SSBT will connect it.
    • If your domain is hosted elsewhere, SSBT will tell you up front.
  4. Click Create My Website. You now have your own web address.

Step 2: Set up your online store

With an address in hand, it’s time to set up shop.

  1. Go to Dashboard > Online Store.
  2. Claim a store URL by choosing a slug, for example your-store. Your store instantly becomes live at app.ssbt.com.au/store/your-store.
  3. Add your products in Store Products: name, price (ex GST), GST flag, stock levels, product photos, and a category. You can even choose which website each product appears on.
  4. Want some order? Create Store Categories to keep products organised.

Your store now exists and is ready to sell.

Step 3: Build a landing page that shows your store

Now for the fun part: turning your web address into a real, welcoming shopfront. This is where the Landing Page Generator comes in.

  1. Go to Dashboard > Landing Pages and click Add. This opens the Landing Page Generator.
  2. In the right-hand panel, give your page a Name, a Purpose, and a Page Title.
  3. Choose your Domain from the dropdown. This is where the website you created in Step 1 comes in. No website, no options here.
  4. Click Add Section to open the template library, then browse by category and choose the Online Store template. Click Insert.
  5. The Online Store section automatically shows your store’s live URL. If you haven’t claimed a store slug yet, SSBT points you to Store Setup to do it.
  6. Add a few more sections to make it shine. A hero with your business name, a short about section, maybe a features block. Each section’s text, colours, and images are editable right in the generator, and many sections can be filled with AI-generated content.
  7. When you’re happy, switch on Publish to website and click Save.

Step 4: Go live and tell the world

Once published, your page is live on your domain. You’ll see the Published URL on the Landing Pages list so you can check it, share it, and start driving traffic to it.

When a customer lands on your page, they see your beautifully built shopfront. They click into your online store, browse your products, add to cart, and check out. Orders show up in Store Orders in your dashboard.

What’s next?

Getting online is step one. Once your store is up, you can keep building on it:

  • Add a booking widget so customers can book your time or hire your resources.
  • Set up lead capture forms and email campaigns to grow your audience.
  • Track income and expenses and keep your GST/BAS reports ready for the ATO.

Everything works together, one login, one dashboard, one price.
